First stop, your local thrift store for baskets. The best basket thrift store in Hendersonville is the Humane Society Thrift Shop Spartanburg Hwy. Your best choices are medium-sized, unpainted baskets with handles.
Check to be sure the baskets aren’t broken or coming unwoven anywhere.
You can expect to pay $.50 to $1.00 per basket, maybe a bit more. 4-6 are plenty to start with.
Next, Dollar Tree. This is your one-stop-shop for almost everything else you will need, and everything is $1 a piece. If you don't have a Dollar Tree in your area, go to the Dollar store that really sells most of the stuff for $1. Avoid the ones that sell clothing and cleaning supplies: they rarely have a good gift wrap section.
Look through the seasonal stuffed animals and choose at least three. Bears are fine, remember some men like stuffed bears too.
Head to the gift-wrap section. You need:
Cellophane Gift Basket Bags in sizes Medium and Large. There are at least two to a pack, so get enough Large packs to wrap your basket and enough Mediums for other sets. Smalls are too small for anything.
Shred (Tissue Paper Shred)- soft and pretty, this stuff is essential to fill your baskets and make them look great, and a little goes a pretty long way. Go for seasonal colors.
Tissue Paper-two packs in seasonal colors.
Curling Ribbon-several colors to match or compliment your tissue paper and gift bag colors.
Optional: Before you leave this area, grab a couple of stems of glittery seasonal fake flowers. Get ones that have more then one “bloom” so you can use them for 2 or 3 gifts. For Christmas you can get fake holly, which works well for men’s Gift Sets too!
Stop at Housewares and get 6 mugs, seasonal or solid colors. Also grab a one or two seasonal potholders or oven mitts.
Get 5 net body scrubbers. White is ok, but if possible get colors that match the colors of your Shower Sets products.
Get one small roll of duct tape and a small can of WD-40—they make little ones for your glove compartment.
Stop in the food aisle and grab a box of hot chocolate mix, any kind and a bag of individually wrapped chocolates. If you like, you can also get candy canes for Christmas.
Grab 2 packs of breath mints/strips at the counter.
Optional: go to Staples or another office supply store and get one pack of Sharpie markers, one pack of individual boxes of paper-clips, and one pack of individual Post-it Notes pads (generic is fine).
Wal-Mart, K-mart or Target: one small roll of duct tape and a small can of WD-40 if you can't get them at Dollar Tree. Remember, you will be reimbursing yourself for what you buy when you sell these sets!
